The eternal flame phenomenon at Kayangan Api occurs when natural gas escapes from rock fissures and ignites naturally at the surface. This fire has persisted for hundreds of years and remains unextinguished, even during heavy rain. Geologically, the gas is linked to a shallow petroleum system. Beyond its scientific value, Kayangan Api holds strong spiritual and cultural significance, serving as the site for the traditional Jamasan Pusaka ceremony. Fenomena api abadi di Kayangan Api terjadi ketika gas alam keluar melalui rekahan batu dan terbakar secara alami di permukaan. Api ini telah menyala selama ratusan tahun dan tetap tak padam, bahkan saat hujan deras. Secara geologis, gas ini terkait dengan sistem petroleum dangkal. Selain nilai ilmiahnya, Kayangan Api memiliki makna spiritual dan budaya yang kuat, menjadi lokasi upacara tradisional Jamasan Pusaka.
