In the Tengger region of Ngasem District, traces of the ancient Bengawan Solo River have been preserved, forming terraces along the river valley. Layers of sand, gravel, and clay exposed at this site record changes in the river’s flow and water levels over thousands of years. Within these layers are the remains of ancient animal fossils, providing evidence of past life on the Bojonegoro plains. This geosite illustrates how nature continuously changes and shapes the river landscape we see today.

Di wilayah Tengger, Kecamatan Ngasem, jejak aliran Sungai Bengawan Solo purba telah terawetkan, membentuk teras-teras di sepanjang lembah sungai. Lapisan pasir, kerikil, dan lempung yang tersingkap di lokasi ini merekam perubahan aliran dan ketinggian air sungai selama ribuan tahun. Di antara lapisan-lapisan ini terdapat sisa fosil hewan purba, yang menjadi bukti kehidupan masa lalu di dataran Bojonegoro. Geosite ini menggambarkan bagaimana alam terus berubah dan membentuk lanskap sungai seperti yang kita kenal saat ini.
