Selo Gajah features layered limestone outcrops from the Middle Pliocene Klitik Formation, forming a distinctive structure that resembles an elephant. Natural dissolution processes have created caves and dense stalactites, enhancing the rock’s beauty. Meanwhile, the Banyu Wedang hot springs emerge from rock fractures, reaching temperatures of 40–60°C, and are believed to result from the interaction of groundwater with the heat of underlying igneous rocks. This site demonstrates a fascinating combination of geological processes, geothermal energy, and the natural beauty unique to Bojonegoro.

Selo Gajah menampilkan tersingkap batuan kapur berlapis dari Formasi Klitik berumur Pliosen Tengah, membentuk struktur khas yang menyerupai gajah. Proses pelarutan alami telah menciptakan gua dan stalaktit padat, menambah keindahan batuan ini. Sementara itu, pemandian air panas Banyu Wedang muncul dari rekahan batu, dengan suhu antara 40–60°C, yang diyakini berasal dari interaksi air tanah dengan panas batuan beku di bawah permukaan. Situs ini memperlihatkan perpaduan menarik antara proses geologi, energi panas bumi, dan keindahan alam khas Bojonegoro.
